Overview of the Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HablaMe (the "Service"), a digital learning platform for Spanish-speaking users learning Icelandic. By registering an account or purchasing content on HablaMe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.

HablaMe provides access to video lessons and associated exercises (functioning as homework) to support Icelandic language learning. Access is available through one-time purchases or subscription plans. All content is for individual, non-commercial use.

Account Registration & Eligibility

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing:

  • Your full name

  • A valid email address

  • A secure password

You agree to keep your account credentials confidential. Sharing accounts is prohibited. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us at info@hablame.is.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements.

Payment and Billing Terms

One-Time Purchases: You may purchase specific video lessons or course bundles with a single upfront payment. Once purchased, this content remains accessible to you as long as the Service is available. These purchases do not renew.

Subscriptions: We offer recurring subscription plans (e.g. monthly, annually) which provide access to a broader library of content. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime via your account settings. After cancellation, you retain access until the current billing period ends.

Payments: All transactions are processed securely by a third-party payment provider. By providing your payment details, you authorise us to charge you for your chosen plan or purchase. We may store payment tokens for future billing (via our processor). Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Refunds: Generally, all purchases are non-refundable due to the digital nature of our content. If you experience billing errors or technical issues, please contact info@hablame.is for support.

Price Changes: We may adjust our prices. For active subscriptions, any changes will be communicated in advance and applied to the next billing cycle.

Licence and Content Restrictions

All content (videos, exercises, images, and materials) on HablaMe is protected by copyright and remains the property of HablaMe or its licensors. When you purchase or subscribe, you receive a limited, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not:

  • Download, record, or redistribute any content

  • Use the content for teaching or commercial purposes

  • Share your login details with others

  • Attempt to bypass our access controls or security features

Any violation may result in account termination without refund.

No User-Generated Content

At this time, HablaMe does not allow user submissions (e.g. comments, uploads, forums). All content is provided by us. You must not attempt to upload or post content on the platform.

Data Collection & Privacy

We collect limited personal data to provide the Service, including:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Password (securely encrypted)

  • Payment details (handled by our processor)


We use this data to manage your account, deliver content, handle payments, and send essential communications. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy. We comply with Icelandic and EU data protection laws, including GDPR.

We do not sell your personal data and only share it with trusted service providers (e.g. payment processor, email system) as necessary to operate the platform.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without any warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific learning outcomes, or error-free performance. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HablaMe shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes loss of earnings, data, or access.

If we are held liable despite this limitation, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months.

Termination, Changes, and Governing Law

Termination: You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. No refunds are provided for breaches.

Changes to the Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by Icelandic law. If you are an EU/EEA user, your local consumer rights remain unaffected.
